It was designed to be completely plastic-free (unlike most other lunch bags on the market). Typical plastic lunch bags can get dirty over time and can only really be wiped clean but not thoroughly washed. They are also nearly impossible to repair. This innovation changes all of that! This bag features removable insulating wool panels so if your lunchbox gets dirty, you can simply remove the wool panels and wash the bag in the washing machine! and if over the years it does ever get a hole in it, you can always sew it or patch it and keep the bag continue its useful life.
The bag is made by one our most trusted ethical manufacturers in India who has worked with us every step of the way to provide the highest quality materials and finished product. The bag itself is made from GOTS certified organic cotton and has high quality metal buckles.
A local eco-friendly business makes the wool panels from the scraps from their organic and natural mattress manufacturing to create this special wool textile made from 80% GOTS-certified organic wool and 20% mixed GOTS-certified organic cotton and GOLS-certified organic rubber scraps. The wool panels have been hand cut with love by the LWP team. With such personalized crafting, come natural imperfections. If the panels do not fit perfectly, just use a pair of scissors to adjust the size.

Care Instructions: Remove the wool panels and wash the bag on gentle in machine wash or by hand. Spot clean the wool panels in cold water and hang to dry. For first wash, please wash it on it's own. Natural dyes are used for the bag, and some minimal running could occur.

The craftsmanship is great and it works very well (did a fine job keeping fridge food cold on a 4 hour drive to a weekend get-away!) I got the rectangular thinking the square one would be too small, but I have to say the rectangular one is quite roomy, roomier than I actually need for a take-to-work-lunch bag.
My husband is a teacher who packs a lunch daily. He did not want to part with his plastic cooler lunchbox but he loves this! so lightweight, well constructed and roomy. Have not washed yet but I am sure it will clean up nicely.
