This standard international size fountain pen piston converter made in Germany turns a cartridge pen into a plunger fountain pen. This converter allows you to use bottled ink with most fountain pens (except Sheaffer, Parker, LAMY, Cross, Pilot, Sailor, Platinum and Aurora). Save thousands of disposable plastic pens by refilling your fountain pen yourself.
This is how you insert and fill the piston converter (by drawing ink up into it):
Using Bottled Ink
Insert the piston converter into the fountain pen nib. Twist the piston end to the right until it stops. Immerse the entire nib in the bottled ink, then slowly turn the piston end to the left to draw in the ink.
After the piston has been fully retracted, twist the piston end slowly to the right for approximately one turn so that 4 drops of ink are allowed to drip back into the bottle. Quickly wipe the nib clean with a tissue.
