Introducing Freezycup, the stainless steel popsicle mold

 Wakefield, 13 June 2012 -- We are very happy to introduce the FreezycupTM, a plastic-free individual freezer pop mold made of high quality stainless steel. There are lots of popsicle molds out there, but this one is truly unique. Here's why:

  • PLASTIC-FREE - Made with high quality, food grade, 18-8 (304) stainless steel.

  • TESTED in a third party accredited laboratory to ensure the Freezycup™ is lead and phthalate-free in compliance with the U.S.Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (2008) (CPSIA) and the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA).Freezycup

  • SOLD with THREE reusable bamboo sticks and TWO interchangeable gaskets - One of the gaskets is blue, the other is red to ensure Charlie does not mistake his ice pop for Sophie's.

  • INDIVIDUAL CUP ELIMINATES THE NEED FOR A BULKY TRAY- As an individual mold, the Freezycup™ is very compact and does not use up the space required for a large tray in the freezer when you only have one left in the tray. Nicely fits into nooks and crannies in the freezer.

  • EASY TO REMOVE THE FROZEN ICE POP - Just a few seconds of under the tap hot water treatment and the ice pop comes out like magic, thanks to the heat conductivity of the stainless steel.

  • VERSATILE IN DESIGN - Your child can use the cup to rest her ice pop while doing something else or to re-freeze it if it isn't finished. Even better, when the kids have grown out of it, use the cup to drink your favourite juice.

  • DISHWASHER-SAFE - Both the cup and the lid can be washed in the dishwasher.

  • ONLY $7.95 EACH! And 10% off if you purchase it online by June 30th, 2012, and use the coupon code: FREEZYCUP

Check out the little video we made with enchanting music from our in-house graphic design artist and musicienne extraordinaire, Alise Marlane.

Hot Food Should Not Touch Plastic

Wakefield, 19 May 2012 -- Plastic additives tend to leach more into food under the following conditions:

- When the food has a high level of fat;

- When the food is acidic;

- When the food is hot.

Spaghetti sauce falls in all of these categories and yet, it is often prepared in a thermos with a plastic lid. Since nobody really wants toxic endocrine disruptors in their spaghetti sauce, it's best to avoid the situation. Glass is one option. Here's another... We are proud to introduce a series of four hot lunch containers with a lid featuring a stainless steel interior. Four sizes are available: 500 ml / 17 fl. oz; 850 ml / 28.7 fl. oz; 950 ml / 32 fl oz. and the mother of them all 2000 ml / 0.5 gallon. Check them out by clicking here.
