We had expected to have our new ice cube tray available for early 2009. Unfortunately, the prototype that we received in December 2008, when tested, did not measure up to our standards of quality with respect to the quality of stainless steel used and its stability in the presence of acids. We subsequently asked our manufacturer to get back to the drawing board and we will soon be receiving the new prototype. We hope it will be available this fall. This has reinforced an important life rule given that the stainless steel used for the ice cube tray appeared to be of excellent quality -- i.e., don't believe everything you see!
