Bento boxes are all the rage, and this stainless steel one is the first of its kind that clamps shut with an airtight seal — wow! The silver wonder also has a food separator inside, allowing your pickle or cookie or what-have-you to steer clear of your main course. This divider is also removable, in case you’ve packed a hefty sandwich that needs the full space. You can handwash the box with loving care, or remove and handwash the silicone seal and release valve and put the box and lid in the dishwasher. If you wish to maximize the shine, dry the stainless surface with a soft, lint-free cloth.
It is made of high quality, food grade 18-10 stainless steel. The silicone seal is removable and can be washed separately. The whole container can be washed in the dishwasher or re-heated on the stove or in the toaster oven as long as you remove the silicone seal beforehand. This container is also freezer-safe.
Use a non-permanent marker/wax pencil to write on the container - a handy way to specify the contents and storage date. The marker writings wash off easily with water and friction. The container is packaged in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box (this inventory was already manufactured and packed when we purchased it so it was too late for us to have it packaged without the plastic bag). There is a sticker on the box with the marking "ITS Lunchbox". It can be removed with a hairdryer and some rubbing alcohol or vodka (seriously, vodka works!). BPA-free, Phthlate-free, Consumer Product Safety Information Act (CPSIA) compliant!
